Each year the term of a number of TVNZ directors expires and decisions will
be made to appoint new directors, which fall in October 2010 and April 2011.
Hon Dr Jonathan Coleman, Minister of Broadcasting, is calling for nominees
for TVNZ Board.
Candidates with a mix of the attributes below are sought.
Board skill requirements:
.. demonstrable experience and understanding of public service
broadcasting;
.. understanding of the Crown's ownership needs and expectations;
.. senior executive experience in a major corporate, encompassing
financial skills and qualifications
.. experience in journalism and broadcasting
.. knowledge of, or experience in, the advertising industry
.. experience in, and or an appreciation of new communications IT.
