Castanet Charter

Castanet is an Online Group for the Community Sector Taskforce online groups project team.

The purpose of Castanet is collaborating to create online groups for the community sector in Aotearoa.

Castanet was opened 19 June 2006 and will run indefinitely.

Membership and Roles

Membership of Castanet is open to Taskforce staff and members, and OnlineGroups.Net staff who are formally assigned to the Community Sector Taskforce online groups project team..

The Castanet Home Page shows the parts of Castanet that can be seen and contributed to by members and non-members.

You are not a member of Castanet. Membership of Castanet is by invitation only.

The Owner of Castanet is OnlineGroups.Net. Castanet is administered by OnlineGroups.Net.

Participation Protocol

By participating in Castanet, members agree to the following.

  • Respect the privacy and intellectual property rights of the other Castanet members. (Castanet is a confidential group; do not forward other people's posts without their consent.)
  • Write clear and thoughtful posts as described in the User Guide.

Participants in Castanet are encouraged to carry out the following.

  • Experiment with online groups and online participation.
  • Share and discuss ideas related to online groups for the Taskforce and Community Sector.
  • Review plans, proposals and documents.
  • Collaborate to foster the ongoing development of online groups for the CST.
  • Explore and discuss effective online collaboration.
