Sector-Government Relationship Agreement
Background
The Kia Tutahi-Standing Together Steering Group has drafted a relationship agreement setting out a vision and principles for how communities and government can work together in New Zealand.
Hui have been held throughout the country during July and August. The Taskforce supports this proccess and the call for written submissions to be developed and posted at Bang the Table.
The Taskforce has prepared a contribution to this process out of concern for some key aspects of the history of our Sector that need to be acknowledged.
As Tangata Whenua and Tangata Tiriti members of the Taskforce, we believe the draft statement acknowledges important aspects of our history as a Sector in Aotearoa and the uniqueness of our Sector's contribution within and for communities. We would welcome comments on this contribution. [Just click on 'Taskforce Statement below to access the document].
If you wish to support this statement overall, just send your name, organisation name and contract details to Iris Pahau, National Development Manager at awe@paradise.net.nz. If you would like to make amendments from the perspective of your voice in the Sector, feel free to provide your feedback directly to us at the same email address.
We look forward hearing from you.
