Kitty Chiu

Mrs Kitty Chiu (Auckland) is currently an Honorary Advisor at the University of Auckland Centre for Asian Health Research and Evaluation. Prior to this she was an Associate Director at the Centre.
Mrs Chiu completed a Master of Business Administration at the University of Otago, and was registered as a General Nurse by the Nursing Council of New Zealand in 1999 and the Hong Kong Nursing Council in 1985.
She is currently a member of the East Health Primary Healthcare Organisation Community Advisory Committee (2007-present), the East Health Care PHO Charitable Trust Board (2006-present), and the Chinese Social Workers Interest Group of Aotearoa New Zealand Social Work Association (2000-present). Kitty is the founding member to establish the Chinese Positive Ageing Charitable Trust.
She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin and is knowledgeable on Asian cultural issues. Kitty is passion about personal development and social justice.
Kitty is currently contributing in the Ministry of Health, the National Advisory Committee on Health and Disability, and the Board of Director on the Social Worker Registration Board, the Ministry of Social Development."
