The Taskforce
is an independent body of five (5) Tangata Tiriti and five (5) Tangata
Whenua community people. It was established in 2003 mandated to
continue the work developed by the joint community sector and
government working parties (2000 - 2002) to develop the relationship
between government and the sector.

The Taskforce dispatches two newsletters each week:
- Te Harakeke - dispatched each Tuesday and contains:
- Job Vacancies - advertising jobs available throughout the country
- What's on Where - announcing upcoming events
- Informed Communities
- Media Alerts - news items and article of interest to the Sector
- Community Newsletters - regular newsletters from organisations
- Funding Information & Scholarships - information received about funding or scholarships that people/organisations can submit applications for.

The Taskforce has on-line discussion groups. Join a group and discuss mattes of relevance to the Sector
- Funding relationships between the Sector and Government - share ideas, issues and strategies around government funding
- Community Employers - chat about matters that are of interest to you as employers in the Sector
- Te Tiriti Relationship - join in conversations around the Te Tiriti/Treaty Relationship Framework and experiences within the model
- Government Sector Relationship Agreement - discuss the upcoming Relationship Agreement that is being developed.
